What a plastic surgeon does

A plastic surgeon reshapes tissue surgically — for appearance or to restore it after an injury, a burn or tumor removal. People see one about rhinoplasty, eyelid and ear surgery, breast enlargement or reduction, facelifts and scar revision. Procedures without an incision are done by cosmetologists and dermatologists, facial bones and jaws are a maxillofacial surgeon’s area, and a nose you cannot breathe through is first shown to an ENT doctor. Bring a list of your conditions and the medicines you take, and discharge summaries from any past operations.

Frequently asked questions

Plastic surgeon or cosmetologist — what is the difference?

A plastic surgeon is a doctor who operates: reshaping the nose, eyelids or breasts, removing excess skin, restoring tissue after injuries. A cosmetologist works without surgery — skin care, injections, device-based procedures; the cosmetologists list includes both doctors and specialists without a medical specialty, so ask the clinic about their training.

Plastic or maxillofacial surgeon — who to see about the face and jaw?

Facial bones and jaws, difficult tooth extractions, facial injuries and a bite corrected by surgery are the area of a maxillofacial surgeon. To reshape the nose, eyelids or ears or to tighten facial skin, people usually see a plastic surgeon. If an operation involves both bone and soft tissue, ask the clinic whether you need to consult both.

How much does rhinoplasty cost in Yerevan?

The clinic sets the price of rhinoplasty: it depends on the extent of the operation, and anesthesia, the hospital stay and follow-up visits may be included or charged separately — check this before booking. If you cannot breathe well through your nose because of a deviated septum, start with an ENT doctor: septum correction is their operation.

About this list

This list covers doctors whom Yerevan clinics name on their own websites: currently 115 doctors from 29 clinics. The list is incomplete and keeps growing; each card leads to a page with the practice location and the clinic’s phone number. There are no such doctors from other Armenian cities in the directory yet.

The districts with the most doctors on this list are Kentron (41), Erebuni (22), and Kanaker-Zeytun (13). The list includes 35 women and 78 men — you can choose with the “Gender” filter.

Cards where the clinic lists experience, education or a consultation price come first, then the rest. Within each group, cards with a photo come first. This is not a ranking: places in the list are not for sale. How we collect and check information

Doctors of related specialties are in the list above. Ask the clinic about the cost of a consultation: some clinics have their price list on their Medaro page.

Medaro is a directory: we do not make diagnoses or recommend a particular doctor. Information about doctors comes from clinic websites, and for some doctors from a saved copy of the site or a letter from the clinic; before your visit, check the appointment and the cost with the clinic.
