What a pediatrician does
A pediatrician looks after children up to 18: tracks growth and development, checks vaccinations, and sees children with a fever, cough, runny nose, rash, tummy ache or earache. The pediatrician also decides whether your child needs a pediatric specialist such as a neurologist, ENT doctor, cardiologist or surgeon. A child registered with a family doctor can be seen by that doctor instead. Bring the vaccination certificate, a fever diary if your child is ill, and the names of any medicines you have already given.
Frequently asked questions
How do I register my child with a polyclinic pediatrician?
Registering a child is up to their legal representative, as a rule a parent, who comes to the polyclinic with the child’s birth certificate or identity document and social card (the papers needed for children under 16). In Yerevan a pediatrician can be picked at any of the city’s polyclinics while their patient list still has room, or a family doctor instead. Since 2026 the state insures children under 18: conditions are on the State insurance page.
Where do pediatric specialists see patients — neurologist, ENT, cardiologist, surgeon?
Pediatric neurologists, ENT doctors, cardiologists, surgeons and dentists have their own lists in the directory, linked under “Related specialties” on this page — for example, pediatric neurologists. If it is unclear which of them you need, begin with the pediatrician: after examining your child, they will say whether a specialist is needed.
Which pediatricians see patients in Russian or English?
Consultation languages are listed for 51 pediatricians on this list: Russian for 50, English for 44. This helps families who have recently moved to Armenia: pick a language in the “Consultation language” filter. For the other pediatricians the language is not listed — ask when you call the clinic.
Which Yerevan districts have the most pediatricians from this list?
Most pediatricians on this list are in Arabkir (70), Nor Nork (49), and Erebuni (32). With a small child a clinic nearby is easier: mark your district in the “District” filter, and only pediatricians from there will remain in the list.
About this list
This list covers doctors whom Yerevan clinics name on their own websites: currently 182 doctors from 26 clinics. The list is incomplete and keeps growing; each card leads to a page with the practice location and the clinic’s phone number.
The list includes 171 women and 9 men — you can choose with the “Gender” filter.
Cards where the clinic lists experience, education or a consultation price come first, then the rest. Within each group, cards with a photo come first. This is not a ranking: places in the list are not for sale. How we collect and check information
Doctors of related specialties are in the list above. Ask the clinic about the cost of a consultation: some clinics have their price list on their Medaro page.
Medaro is a directory: we do not make diagnoses or recommend a particular doctor. Information about doctors comes from clinic websites, and for some doctors from a saved copy of the site or a letter from the clinic; before your visit, check the appointment and the cost with the clinic.
